KWPN jumping committee recognises two Grand Prix stallions

The stallion inspection committee for jumping has decided to recognise the successful sport stallions Darry Lou and Lord Sandro DDH for KWPN breeding. This means that the stallions will get the same status as KWPN-approved stallions. Offspring of these stallions will therefore be directly registered in the Foal register.

Lord Sandro DDH
Lord Sandro DDH is a 15-year-old chestnut son of Lordanos. The dam is Sophie, a Sandro daughter out of the mare Gelizia, a Domino daughter. Lord Sandro DDH was bred by Uwe Neitzeil from Zetel, Germany. Bart Bles has partnered Lord Sandro DDH for a while now. They were successful in 5* competitions at 1m60 level. High rankings were achieved in Hickstead, Helsinki, Oslo and Verona. The combination was also selected several times for Nations Cup competitions. After the stallion had been sidelined from competitions for a while, due to injury, the combination made a strong comeback this Summer by immediately winning the Grand Prix in Arnhem. Lord Sandro DDH satisfies all the X-ray criteria regarding navicular and bone spavin and has a breeding value of 98 with 33% btbh. The sport breeding value of Lord Sandro DDH is 130 (54% btbh). His height is 1.68m. Semen is available from Stud station De Havikerwaard in De Steeg.
