Lord Sandro DDH (Lordanos x Sandro Z x Domino)
After a wonderful career, Lord Sandro is enjoying his well-deserved retirement with us. The opportunity for you to use him as a breeding stallion, because despite his modest number of offspring he seems to pass on his qualities! Given his pedigree, this is not remarkable.
His sire Lordanos (Landos x Ahorn Z) was himself very successful at a high level for quite some time with the entire Sosath family. Bred from the famous Holstein lineage 776, he produced many Grand Prix horses such as Lordana, La Vista, La Casino and Let's Fly. As many as 160 of his offspring ran 1.40 or higher, an unprecedented number!
On the dam's side of Lord Sandro we see the blood of Sandro Z, Domino and Granit. His sister Saphira gave several good sport horses including Long Life 6, successful at 1.40 level. Further down the dam line we see the 1.60 horse Golo. The Granit mare Geranie can be found behind the stallions Balou du Rouet, Balou du Reventon, Chatinue and Ballissimo, all four of whom are or have been successful at 1.50 level or higher. The 1.60 horses Cassius and Vertical Limit also find their origins in this relatively small lineage, which is truly brimming with sport!
For a large part of his career Lord Sandro was successful with Bart Bles. They achieved fantastic results at CSI 5* competitions including Hickstead, Helsinki, Verona and Oslo. They defended the Dutch tricolor several times. The chic chestnut stallion always showed tremendous effort, scope and technique during his performances.
Several of his few offspring are now jumping at the international level and possess the same fanatical, cooperative nature as their sire.
