Larenco is a son of the now famous producer and sports stallion Lancer III who is very successful under the German show jumper Toni Hassman,. Larenco is out of the 776 bloodline, one of the most well-known Holstein bloodlines, which also produced the world famous stallion, Ramiro. Larenco’s dam is the top mare Comtess, a daughter of the equally world famous top stallion Capitol I who is also the sire of ‘our’ Celano. As if that was not good enough, granddam Udine II is a daughter of the top-producer Calypso I. In short, all the ingredients for a top star have been brought together in Larenco’s genes.
In 1999 Larenco was approved in Oldenburg and in 2000 he successfully completed his ‘Hengstleistungsprüfung’ in Zweibrücken. With no fewer than 129 points for jumping he was placed first out of the jumping stallions but he also scored above average in dressage. In 2002 he qualified for the Bundeschampionat by winning all the qualifiers. He performed brilliantly during the Bundeschampionat. During the 2002-2003 stallion competition he also stood out thanks to his tremendous jumping ability and talent. During the national competition in Vreden (Germany) in 2003 they were placed first twice with fantastic scores of 8.5 and 9.0. This success continued in 2003 and culminated in a fantastic 4th place at the Bundeschampionat in Warendorf in the class for six-year-old show jumpers. To our great dismay Larenco passed away in 2004. As a result there is only a limited amount of frozen semen from him available.
In 2002 his first offspring were born and the high expectations were proved to be well-founded. No fewer than three of his offspring were crowned champion in Westfalia. His progeny are long-lined, have fantastic movement and a good temperament. In 2005 his son, Levi Strauss (dam’s sire Lutz) approved in Oldenburg. Limmerick (dam’s sire General I) was awarded a 9.0 for his jumping talent during his 30-day test in Neustadt a/d Dosse, and was thereby placed second. Limerick was also eighth during the Bundeschampionat 2007 for five-year-old jumping horses. Levi’s (dam’s sire Lacoro) was approved in Finland and covered a substantial number of mares out of which very good foals were born in 2006. In 2008 the mare Lorena (Larenco x Romeo) won the Westfalian Championat for six-year old jumping horses and in 2009 Zimone DDH (Larenco x Abantos) was placed tenth in the final of the GMB-winter competition during Zwolle International.
Larenco was approved in Oldenburg and Westfalia and satisfies all veterininary requirements for KWPN.
